Experience

Before starting a Private Practice, I worked at Home Start, Inc. in San Diego as a Therapist for five years.  At this non-profit agency, I provided Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment, working with children and their caregivers, using treatments such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy.  I also conducted treatment to adolescents and adults from the Victims of Crime program, and facilitated a Domestic Violence Support Group for female victims. Before moving to San Diego, my experience as a Counselor included an Internship at Empact-SPC, an outpatient Suicide Prevention Center in Tempe, AZ, and a Traineeship at the Counseling Training Center at Arizona State University.
